Who is responsible for your information

FortuneFinance Consulting Limited is the data controller for the information described here. The firm is registered in Nigeria and operates from Lagos.

What we collect from this website

Nothing. This website has no forms, no analytics, no advertising tags and no cookies. It collects no information about you at all, and there is nothing to opt out of. You reach the firm by writing to it, the same as any other correspondent, and what the firm then holds is the email you chose to send.

The company hosting this site keeps standard server logs, which typically record the address a request came from and the page requested. Those logs belong to the host and are kept under its own retention policy.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

What you write to us is held to answer you and, if the work goes ahead, to prepare an engagement letter. The basis is the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. Nothing is collected from you except what you chose to put in your own message.

Client financial information

Where the firm is engaged, it handles financial records belonging to the client: ledgers, bank data, payroll information and similar material. In that work the client remains the controller of its own records and the firm acts on its instructions. What may be done with those records, and for how long they are held, is set out in the engagement letter for that client rather than in this notice.

How long we keep enquiry information

Where an enquiry does not lead to work, the details are kept only as long as needed to deal with it and to answer any follow-up.

Who else sees it

Your information is not sold, and it is not shared for anyone else's marketing. It is seen by the people at the firm who need it to answer you, and by the service providers that operate the firm's email and the platforms used to deliver client work. Information is disclosed to a regulator or a court only where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is used, and ask for it in a portable form.
